Tent camping while exploring Yoho National Park? A reservation at Takakkaw Falls frontcountry campground is a must! This tent only campground has 35 sites, some with truly spectacular views of the falls.

Away from the highway, railway and RV campers, this campground is usually so wonderfully quiet. It's also well placed for accessing the local trails (Iceline Trail, Twin Falls, Laughing Falls, Whaleback etc).

The catch is that you'll need to walk in all your gear from the parking lot, 300-400m away. There are wheelbarrows to help. Drinking water is available at the campground.

Reservations open in January each year - make a booking via the Parks Canada website.

A Parks Canada parks pass is required to stay at this campground.
