If you want to get some local chocolates other than your mass-market Laderach, Cailler or Lindt chocolate, go to Blondel. It is a popular chocolatier in Lausanne known for its exquisite handmade chocolates, and it's right in the shopping district in Lausanne so you'd pass by it easily.

While the prices may be on the higher side but the quality of the chocolates is premium. You can pick and mix the different chocolate flavours, or buy pre-packed ones off the shelf. I'd especially recommend their pralines.

Be prepared to wait in line especially during peak holidays season, but trust me, the heavenly treats are well worth the wait!
