If you are visiting with kids, staying at Evergreen is an absolute MUST. The hotel is an event in itself! Located 5 minutes away from the national park entrance and an hour away from Yosemite Valley, this is as close to the park as you can get without actually staying in the park. The lodge offers cabins that can fit groups of 2-10 people and tents for glamping. On site, there is a pool, rec room, restaurant, bar, playgrounds, and zip lines. They have really thought about the family experience as well with small touches like summer pool BBQs and free nightly s'mores.
