You can't visit Mount Buffalo National Park without stopping by the iconic Mount Buffalo Chalet. Built in 1910, this building has historical significance and is listed in the Victorian Heritage Register. Although it's currently closed, restoration works have been ongoing to preserve its charm and heritage and you can still admire it from the outside and explore the gardens.
It's currently managed by Parks Victoria and is reopening in stages to include a cafe, outdoor education programs, and a potential heritage hotel in the future (this will be pretty cool to see)!
