This 2-day Tree-to-Sea Drive itinerary takes you from Campbell River to Tahsis via Gold River, through one of Vancouver Island’s most rugged and scenic routes. You’ll stop at 16 official viewpoints, lakes, rivers, and lookouts—swimming in emerald water, and taking in dramatic mountain and fjord views.
Day one focuses on slow travel and nature stops, ending with camping beside the Leiner River. Day two explores the remote coastal village of Tahsis, its harbour boardwalk, nearby trails, and optional marine adventures into Nootka Sound. It’s the perfect mix of forest, mountains, rivers, and wild West Coast ocean.
