This adventure is honestly one of the best I've experienced in Mount Cook National Park. The glacier and caves change every year but there is always something amazing to see. On the two occasions I've been on the glacier we were able to go inside an icecave, drink the pure glacial water (which is amazing!) and hike over the expanse of ice with ease.

For photography I would suggest your wide angle lens to capture the entire scene up there. The blues are absolutely incredible on the camera.
