Located off the coast of Whangamata in the Coromandel region of New Zealand, Whenuakura Island - also known as Donut Island - offers an exciting kayak tour for outdoor-lovers and explorers. This unique destination features turquoise lagoons surrounded by native fauna and flora inside a spectacularly collapsed volcanic blow hole. History enthusiasts can learn about the island's rich Maori culture from local guides before being treated to a traditional Kawakawa tea. Itinerary possibilities include photography packages and secondary routes for when conditions don't allow.

Photography info: Take your wide angle lens with you for this location! Your tour guides should provide a dry bag to put it in while you are paddling around. We did this on Stand Up Paddle Boards and it was a lot of fun. Such an amazing location and a really unique photo for your portfolio.
