This is one of Lombok's hidden gems and one of the best viewpoints we've experienced. It’s located in the underrated area of Sembalun in Northeast Lombok. We spent a night here at a guesthouse (Rautani Sembalun) only a 10 minute drive away on a scooter, to see this viewpoint at sunrise. Absolutely breathtaking! Sunset here is also lovely if you're only stopping by during a tour on your way to North Lombok, for example.

Tip: If you search the name on Google Maps, it will lead you to the parking lot of a more popular photo spot (which may not be open very early in the morning). If you keep driving just a minute further, you'll find another spot on the right. Here, you can pass through a small path that leads to this viewpoint. We had it all to ourselves for 2 hours.
