Honestly one of our absolute FAVOURITE places for a day out.

This place is hands down one of our all-time favourite spots. Cob House Country Park is a total gem for families – I honestly couldn’t drag my kids away!

From reindeer and alpacas to goats, pigs, chickens and ducks, the resident animals are a highlight not just for the kids! You can buy some special feed from the cafe to feed the alpacas and reindeers to make it even more memorable.

They do ask not to bring picnics (people actually do! 😲) because that's how they can keep it free for everyone to get in. Make sure you at least buy a delicious brownie or cake from the Mayfly Cafe which are all homemade 😋 they also serve up hearty breakfasts, lunches and light bites so you're all covered. Picnic benches outside around the lake mean you can always see your kids on the playgrounds too.

There's a fairy trail around the fishing lakes, biscuit decorating from the cafe and loads of space outside to kick a ball around or bring some lawn games.

Cob House hosts various events throughout the year, including kids' fun days, kids' car boots and fishing lessons. There's always something happening to keep the whole family entertained.

If you really can't drag yourselves away or if you just want somewhere close to home for a staycation they've got a full campsite with all the facilities!
