Kuusiston Castle Ruins is a fascinating historical site just a short drive from Turku. Once one of the most important medieval castles in Finland, the ruins now stand as a peaceful and photogenic spot surrounded by lush greenery and old stone walls. Walking through the ruins gives you a sense of history and lets you imagine what life was like here centuries ago.

WHAT TO DO: Explore the ruins, take photos of the medieval stonework, enjoy a quiet walk around the surrounding parkland, or have a picnic in the grassy areas nearby.

LOCAL TIP: Early morning or late afternoon visits are the best for peaceful exploration and photography, as the site can get busy on weekends. Wear comfortable shoes, as the ground is uneven and there are some steep steps.

COST & ACCESS: Free to visit. Easily reachable by car or bike, with limited parking available nearby.
