This is an easy, family-friendly walk along the cliffs of the Tasman Peninsula. It follows a clear, well-maintained track to a viewing platform over Waterfall Bay.

The return walk is 3.4 km and takes about an hour. There are no big climbs or rough terrain, and you’ll get truly impressive views of the sheer cliffs, crashing waves, and sea stacks in the distance!

It’s a solid choice if you’re short on time, want something low effort, or have non-hikers in the group. Plus you can check out other nearby spots like the Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Flat, well-graded track suitable for most fitness levels

  • Fenced cliff edges and multiple coastal lookouts

  • The waterfall only flows after heavy rain

  • Interpretive signs with geological and local info

  • Can get busy mid-morning

TO ACCESS

  • Approx 1 hour’s drive from Hobart

  • Trail starts at Devil’s Kitchen carpark (Eaglehawk Neck)

  • Park pass required, it’s in Tasman NP

  • Not pet-friendly
