This is an epic campground tucked behind the southern end of Cloudy Bay. But go there only if you're self-sufficient and experienced with beach driving.

You have to drive about 3 km along the beach at low tide to get to the campground. So plan your day carefully to go there at low tide.

It’s walk-in only and there are no facilities beyond a toilet.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Very basic walk-in campsites behind the dunes

  • No shelter, water, or bins so pack everything in and out

  • Pit toilet available

  • Quiet, exposed beach environment

  • Strong winds are common

TO ACCESS

  • First-come, first-serve

  • Park pass needed (it’s in South Bruny NP)

  • Pay the camping fees in the deposit box (cash only)

  • 4WD access only via 3 km of beach driving
