This is a short, self-guided walk that links Salamanca to historic Battery Point. It’s marked by 9 large numbered sculptures, each sharing a bit of Hobart’s colonial or maritime history.

The full trail is about 2 km and takes ~45 mins. It's very easy to follow and goes through spots like Kelly’s Steps, Arthur Circus, and the old slipyards!

Route here.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Signposted trail through historic streets and waterfront paths

  • Sculptures double as info markers, each with a short story

  • Quiet neighbourhoods and classic Tassie cottages

  • A few small hills and stair sections, but still it’s an extremely easy walk

  • Good photo spots along the harbour

  • Dog-friendly (on a lead)

TO ACCESS

  • Free to access

  • Open 24/7

  • Trail starts near Salamanca Place and loops through Battery Point
