This 3.6 km return hike (~3 hours) takes you straight up the granite range behind Wineglass Bay. It’s the best way to see the bay from above, it’s more dramatic than the lookout and far less crowded.

But it’s not an easy walk, TBH. 

You’ll be scrambling up smooth granite slabs most of the way, and those rocks are seriously slippery when wet. This hike should only be attempted in dry, clear conditions.

So if you’re confident in your scrambling abilities, it’s 100% worth the effort! The summit gives you massive views over the bay, coast, and Hazards Range. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

• 3.6 km return, ~3 hours

• Steep granite scrambling most of the way

• No shade and no water so come prepared

• Track is marked but not graded
