This is a tiny settlement at the southern end of the Bay of Fires, and where we recommend basing yourself if you’re not keen on camping.

It’s quiet, laid-back, and right on the edge of that iconic coastline.

There aren’t really hotels or holiday parks here, just a handful of self-catering holiday houses and cottages, most with beach access or ocean views

No major shops or facilities either, so make sure you stock up in St Helens before heading in.

If you want to explore the beaches and rock formations of Bay of Fires by day, and have a proper bed and hot shower by night, this is your best bet!
