Oradea is one of the most beautiful and elegant cities in Romania. Famous for its stunning Art Nouveau architecture, colorful buildings, and beautifully restored historic center, it's a destination that pleasantly surprised me from the very first visit. Every street feels like an open-air museum, yet the city has a modern, vibrant atmosphere that makes it easy to fall in love with.

One of the things I enjoy most about Oradea is simply walking through the city without a fixed plan. Stroll through Union Square (Piața Unirii), admire the impressive Black Eagle Palace, cross the Crișul Repede River, and relax at one of the many cafés or restaurants in the city center. The architecture is incredible, and you'll constantly find yourself stopping to take photos.

Oradea is also famous for its thermal spas, making it a great destination if you're looking to combine sightseeing with a bit of relaxation. Whether you're spending a weekend exploring the city or using it as a stop on a road trip through western Romania, there's plenty to see and do.

• Don't miss Union Square, the Black Eagle Palace, the Moon Church, and Oradea Fortress.

• Climb the City Hall Tower for one of the best panoramic views over the city.

• Walk along the Crișul Repede River in the evening when the city lights create a beautiful atmosphere.

• If you have extra time, relax at one of the nearby thermal spas, such as Nymphaea Aquapark or Băile Felix.

• Oradea is also a fantastic food destination, with plenty of excellent restaurants, wine bars, and specialty coffee shops scattered throughout the city center.
