Corvin Castle is one of the most impressive medieval castles in Europe and, in my opinion, one of the highlights of any trip to Romania. Located in Hunedoara, this Gothic masterpiece looks like something straight out of a fantasy movie, with its towering turrets, massive drawbridge, stone courtyards, and grand halls.
As you explore the castle, you'll walk through beautifully preserved rooms, medieval towers, ancient prisons, and impressive halls that bring centuries of history to life. There are also plenty of legends surrounding the castle, including stories about John Hunyadi, the castle's most famous owner, and the mysterious well said to have been dug by imprisoned Ottoman captives.
Even if you're not a history enthusiast, the architecture alone makes this place unforgettable. Every corner feels photogenic, and it's easy to spend hours wandering through the castle while imagining what life was like here centuries ago.
