The Sfendoni Cave in Zoniana is a hidden treasure of Cretan wildlife and nature. Located at the foot of Psiloritis, one of the biggest mountains in Crete, it is a natural wonder filled with impressive and extraordinary formations created by nature. With a total area of 3500 square meters and 14 chambers to explore, visitors can expect to be amazed by an underground world of stalagmites, stalactites, fossilized waves and more. Along with exploring the cave, visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking at the Gorge of Zoniana, visiting the wax museum of the village, eating at the tavern of Sfendoni and attending the Shepherd and Cheese Festival, all showcasing the unique heritages and customs of the island.
