Oinousses is a small island, east of Chios. It's often considered as the island of shipowners, as the leading Greek families in maritime shipping originate in Oinousses.

You can get to Oinousses from Chios port via the ferry, or by taking a sea taxi from the small port of Langada. Upon your arrival in Oinousses, you will be greeted by the "Inousiotissa" the Lady of Oinousses (Οινουσιώτισσα), a mermaid made by artist Mary Papakonstantinou.
I recommend walking around the town, greeting the locals, observing the laid-back lifestyle of the island. Though the highlight is definitely the Nautical Museum of Oinousses, made by shipowner Nikolaos Laimos. The Laimos family is one of the most prominent families worldwide when it comes to the world of shipping. The Laimos family's collection of nautical items, ship replicas and unique transcripts is amazing. The creator of the museum is Nikolaos Laimos and he made it to commemorate his brother, Antonis.
