Goat Pond, despite its name, is actually a pretty big pond that could easily pass as a lake anywhere else. Located just a 20-minute drive from Canmore along the Smith Dorrian Road, it's a great spot for paddling on a warm summer day with minimal crowds. Keep an eye out for moose hanging around the marshlands nearby, and in the winter, you can even enjoy some ice skating on the shallow waters. It's an underrated gem in Kananaskis that's perfect for a relaxing day out in nature. It's one of our favorite spots in Kananaskis, that's probably because it's so close to our home in Canmore. Great for picnics or paddling!
