Perched just off Highway 93S, Vista Lake is a beautiful alpine lake that makes for a great short hike or a starting point for longer adventures. The trail descends 1.4 km to the lake, offering stunning mountain views along the way. However, you don't have to hike down to appreciate the views as the car park makes for a stunning photo spot.

While Vista Lake itself is a peaceful destination, many hikers continue past it to explore Arnica Lake and Twin Lakes, two incredible backcountry gems. Whether you're looking for a quick scenic stop or a full-day hike, Vista Lake is a fantastic entry point into Banff’s lesser-traveled trails.
