Saskatchewan River Crossing is a historic area and a small resort complex along the Icefields Parkway. It's right near the Howse Point viewpoint, a great pull-off to see the stunning confluence of the North Saskatchewan, Mistaya, and Howse Rivers, framed by towering peaks.

The resort includes a hotel, a mediocre and overpriced restaurant, a gift shop, and the most outrageously expensive gas station in the Rockies. We strongly recommend filling up in Jasper or Lake Louise before driving the parkway, as fuel here should only be a last resort. We're not huge fans, but you can stop to stretch your legs.
