If you're driving the Icefields Parkway, Mistaya Canyon is a stop you won’t want to miss. It’s just a short and easy walk from the parking lot, leading to a stunning canyon where the Mistaya River carves through smooth rock, creating powerful, swirling rapids.

Standing on the scenic bridge, you get an amazing view of the rushing water with a beautiful mountain backdrop. It’s an easy, quick stop, but be careful near the edges—the rock can be slippery, and that water is moving fast!
