Praia da Maiata is a charming little beach located in Porto da Cruz, on the North East side of the island. To get your van on the sandy road, please drive through the village, until you'll reach the sea, where you turn right onto a sandy road. The best and most quiet spot to park is at the far end of this road, where you'll have a view over the beach - where oftentimes people surf, but be mindful of rip currents!! - and to the left you'll see parts of the village.

There are no facilities at this site, only back in the village. Please be mindful to not leave any rubbish behind and enjoy the views!

Please note that it is not allowed to set up a tent here to camp.
