I can't find much information about this little lighthouse on the tip of Reykjanes but the coastline it stands by offers epic views when seen from the other side of Valahnúkamöl (the big boulder beach) - if you have a long lens, this is a good moment for it! This area is perfect to visit during or shortly after big storms! The lighthouse can also be visited by hiking there via an old trail starting close to the parking lot (about 2km / 1.2 miles each way).

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A small lighthouse on the tip of Reykjanes.

  • Best season: Any (my favourite is during a storm or just after one).

  • Best time of day: Any (but light at sunset is incredible)

  • Nice to know: I really like the view from the other side but you can also hike there via an old trail (2 km / 1,2 miles each way).
