The Kylesku Bridge an impressive feat of engineering located in Sutherland, Scotland. It's fun to drive across but even better to look out on when you are exploring this part of Scotland and a big parking bay makes getting out for a quick photo, or picnic, easy!

Some history:

Constructed between August of 1982 and July of 1984, the bridge is made entirely of prestressed box girder concrete, and the remoteness of the project provided an especially unique challenge to its construction team. Spanning 276 meters (906 feet) across the Loch a' Chàirn Bhàin with a 79-meter (259-foot) main span, it rises up to 24 meters (79 feet) above the water, providing ample space for the hobby boater or commercial fisherman. As a category A listed structure, the Kylesku Bridge has stood the test of time and nature since its grand opening in August 1984.
