Cockburn Street is a one of our favourites - its winding cobblestone pathways, vibrant mix of historical architecture, specialist shops and cafés, and bustling atmosphere.

The street was created from 1856 with the purpose of giving visitors to Waverley station a more gentle descent as well as providing a wider thoroughfare. On its north side stands an ornate doorway featuring a carving of the ever popular Owl and the Pussycat poem while on its south side remnants of 16th century buildings can be found.
