Yes, dogs are permitted.

More information:

The Pipeline Track meanders through lush temperate rainforest, with towering eucalypts, ferns, and moss-covered logs creating a tranquil setting. Early in the walk, the gentle sound of water flowing along the pipeline provides a soothing backdrop, guiding you along the track.

The highlight of the trail is the view of the pipeline’s historic structures nestled within the forest, a reminder of Tasmania’s rich logging and hydro history. Wooden platforms along the route offer safe vantage points for photos and to admire the surrounding greenery. After rain, the track takes on a particularly vibrant feel, with dripping ferns and glistening moss adding to the rainforest atmosphere.

While some sections of the pipeline are overgrown and not accessible, the track provides excellent opportunities to enjoy the forest and spot native birds and wildlife. The Pipeline Track is a peaceful, scenic walk in north-west Tasmania and pairs well with a visit to nearby Lovers Falls or Dip Falls for a full half-day of rainforest exploration.
