Gustavus, Alaska, formerly known as "Strawberry Point," is a small city in the Hoonah-Angoon Census Area. With a population of 655 in 2020, it's one of the fastest-growing communities in Alaska. Surrounded by Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, Gustavus offers a mild winter climate and plenty of outdoor activities like fishing and berry picking. The town's roots date back to the early 1900s, and many residents are descendants of the original homesteaders who settled in the area.
