Alviðruhamrar Lighthouse, located in South Iceland, is an ultra remote orange tower standing alone on the endless black sands of Iceland's coast. Originally built in 1929, this lighthouse stands at around seven meters tall and has helped ships navigate these costal waters for decades now. Access to this lighthouse does however require a 4x4, but this picturesque setting and stunning views of the surrounding landscape make it worth the trip. It's a must-visit spot for those seeking a unique and off-the-beaten-path experience in Iceland.
