Khao Daeng Viewpoint in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is the perfect place to get panoramic views of the stunning surrounding landscape. From here you can see the picturesque limestone mountains, local villages, the endless sea stretching into the Gulf of Thailand and the many shrimp farms dominating the agriculture of the region. The hike to the viewpoint takes around 30-45 min and while uneven and rocky in places it's not too bad. We visited straight after Phraya Nakhon Cave and managed to complete this hike as well (although yes, we were definitely tired haha). Because of the rocky, uneven hike I recommend proper shoes.

Your first view when you reach Khao Daeng viewpoint will be of the sea and the wooden sign naming the viewpoint (picture 3). HOWEVER, make sure you also walk to the left and through a narrow path leading to the back of the mountain peak. This will open up a view of the picturesque Wat Khao Daeng temple below and the surrounding limestone mountains. This was our favourite view and where picture 1-2 is taken!

OPEN TIME: Only open between 08-15, so I would recommend going to Phraya Nakhon Cave first thing in the morning, then here, and then lastly to Bueng Bua boardwalk for sunset.
