One of my favorite glacier hikes in Iceland is the Glacier Explorer at Falljökull. The walk up to the glacier is already beautiful, and once you put on crampons and step onto the ice, it feels like another world. You get to explore blue ice formations, crevasses, and take in amazing views of the mountains all around.

If conditions are good, the guide even takes you into the icefall – where the glacier tumbles down the mountain toward the ocean. Standing there, surrounded by ancient ice, is such a powerful experience. It’s the perfect mix of adventure and awe, and one of those tours I always recommend.
