The walk around Lake Matheson felt like stepping into a little fairy garden. The whole trail winds through this lush, mossy forest, and it has that quiet, magical feel the entire time.
The kids were fully in it, collecting sticks, making “potions,” and turning it into their own little adventure, which made it even more fun. It’s an moderate loop with a few ups and downs, but totally manageable and really enjoyable the whole way.
We didn’t even get the “mirror” view because it was foggy, and I still loved it. It ended up being less about the big photo moment and more about the experience of the walk itself, which was even better.
