Castle Fraser near to the town of Kemnay is a ancient castle dating back to the 1450's, Set in rural Aberdeenshire, you will see one of the largest tower houses in Scotland. The castle was home to the Fraser family until 1921 and is now part of the National Trust for Scotland. The Z-plan castle compromises six floors, two wings and the round tower. The grandest room in the castle is the magnificent Great Hall and is filled with 17th century furniture and artwork. Outside, the gardens included a traditional medieval walled garden, filled with specimen trees, herbaceous borders and a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.
The castle and grounds does also have a traditional tearoom and gift shop you can enjoy after your visit.
Castle Fraser also hosts many events throughout the year that are family friendly, the most popular event I would say is their special Halloween themed events.
