Шан Кая, или в превод "Чудната скала", е един от най-старите скитове в Европа. 🪨Монасите са издълбали в скалата тесен тунел, дълъг около 6️⃣4️⃣ метра, а от двете му страни са разположени килиите.
Предполага се, че е основан между 4️⃣- 6️⃣ век от християни, дошли от Сирия и Палестина. Те дълбаели скалата с десетилетия, оформяйки дългия коридор и тесните килии с отвори. Оттам съзерцавали природата и медитирали.🌿
Монасите се хранили предимно с риба, после преминавали на растителна храна, а в последния стадий на земния си живот, поемали единствено и само вода. 🌾Така се пренасяли от този свят в обятията на Господ.
