What to expect:

The highlight of our tour in Tetebatu, especially for the kids, was searching for (and finding) the black monkeys. We had to walk for at least an hour in the rainforest before we saw them on a tree. They are not fed or lured, which makes the whole experience very authentic. They are also known as ebony leaf monkeys or black leaf monkeys. Encountering black monkeys (and occasionally gray macaques) in their natural forest habitat is a real highlight for nature and animal lovers!

How to get here:

If you don't go with a guide, drive with the scooter to Tetebatu Monkey Forest Gate.

Entrance Fee: 30k IDR

Walking: 30min
