What to expect:

We saw this cool spot on instagram. A picturesque street in the centre of rice fields and the Semeru volcano in the background. So we really wanted to go there - but when we arrive here, the big disappointment: building site. So we looked for an alternative by scooter and found it in the neighbourhood. Right here: 8°12'18.0"S 112°58'07.8"E

How to get here:

We rented a scooter at the accommodation (75k IDR p.D.). The cheapest and most flexible way to get around. The journey from Tumpak Sewu waterfall takes about 45 minutes.

In the early morning, the view on the volcano is usually clearer (and it's not soo hot).
