What to expect:
Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is one of Java’s most iconic sights – a massive curtain of water dropping into a lush green amphitheater. You can hike all the way down to the base, and thats really worth it. From down there, the view is absolutely breathtaking - but be prepared to get wet. It’s an unforgettable stop and easily one of the most spectacular waterfalls we’ve ever seen.
How to get here:
Make sure to come very early in the morning, because later it will be CROWDED. It actually opens at 7:00 a.m., but when we arrived at 6:30 a.m., we were able to go in with a few other people.
Parkir Tumpak Sewu is the place to park your scooter. It normally cost 5k IDR but when you are there early, no one will charge you.
Entrance: 100k IDR plus 50k IDR for bottom-view = 150k IDR
Walking: 30mins
Tips:
Wear clothes that can get wet.
Wear good shoes, as it can be slippery.
Bring a dry bag for your camera.
After the Tumpak Sewu, don't go straight up, but continue along the gorge for even more waterfalls (Goa Tetes).
Swimming for kids: not recommended
