Snapes Point provides one of the most stunning views of the Kingsbridge estuary and Salcombe.

Parking at the National Trust car park, I recommend taking the gate just at the edge of the car park, as if you were going back towards the road (not by the trees) and do the circular walk around the peninsular. It’s takes probably 45 minutes at a relaxed pace and you are spoilt with views the entire way around. You can also walk to Salcombe via Lower Batson if you’d like a longer walk.

Snapes Point is one of my absolute favourite sunrise spots. I witnessed numerous amazing sunrises here where the sky has looked like it’s on fire, and when the conditions are right, you can get a cloud inversion over the estuary with Snapes Point peeking out of it. So whether you’re looking for an easy dog walk, a picnic spot, or a gorgeous sunset spot, I can’t recommend Snapes Point enough!
