Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe
Jungfraujoch (3,454 m / 11,332 ft) is known as the “Top of Europe” – the highest railway station on the continent. Located between the mighty peaks of Jungfrau and Mönch in the Bernese Alps, it’s a place where you can step into an eternal world of ice and snow, explore glaciers, and take in some of the most iconic alpine views in Switzerland.
How to Get There
Travel by train to Interlaken (easily reachable from Zurich, Lucerne, or Bern).
From Interlaken, take the train to Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen.
From there, board the cogwheel train via Kleine Scheidegg or take the new Eiger Express gondola from Grindelwald.
The journey itself is spectacular and ends at Jungfraujoch station, inside the mountain.
