You don't expect to find proper Japanese food in Lanzarote — and then you find Minato. Tucked inside the marina of Puerto Calero, this place takes sushi seriously: fresh fish, local ingredients worked into Japanese technique. We ordered gyoza, a mix of rolls and nigiri, and three different noodle dishes — everything landed. Washed it all down with Japanese beer on the harbour balcony. The kind of dinner that catches you off guard in the best possible way. Go for dinner, take your time, don't rush it.
