We flew into Bozeman as our gateway to Yellowstone National Park and picked up a sprinter van through Outdoorsy—complete with a sink, stovetop, comfy bed, fridge and even a toilet. It turned out to be the ultimate way to explore the park at our own pace. Cruising through the wild landscapes and camping at scenic campgrounds along the way made the whole experience feel like one big, unforgettable road-trip adventure.
Bozeman is a delightful Montana gem, tucked between soaring mountain ranges and buzzing with an adventurous, outdoorsy spirit. Its downtown is effortlessly cool, with a relaxed small-town vibe—think unique local boutiques, cozy cafés perfect for lingering, and craft breweries pouring some of the best beer in the Rockies.
Before rolling out of Bozeman, we made a quick stop at the local Walmart to stock up on groceries, way more budget friendly than grabbing snacks from the convenience stores inside the park. One thing you’ll definitely want to add to your cart (if you don’t already have a pair) is binoculars. Trust me, they’re a total game changer for spotting wildlife along the way like bison, bears, wolves, you name it!
