The Bridge to Nowhere Walk in Whanganui National Park takes you on a 3 km round trip to an abandoned bridge that was meant to connect remote farms but ended up being a symbol of a failed pioneering effort by World War I veterans. The track is part of the Te Araroa Trail and offers a glimpse into history amidst the stunning natural surroundings.

Jetboat transport is required to access the beginning of the track. From the Mangapurua Landing on the Whanganui River, follow the Mangapurua Stream to the abandoned bridge.
