Cape Palliser is the most southern public access lighthouse in New Zealand. Located on the rugged South Wairarapa coast it was established in 1897 and has since become an iconic tourist destination. It offers stunning views of south coast and abundant local wildlife. As the only manned lighthouse in New Zealand, guests can explore the inner keepers quarters or climb up to the top and take in the breath-taking views. With the rich history surrounding it, Cape Palliser is well worth the visit.
