Alhucemas, located in Morocco on the Mediterranean coast, is an incredible destination for travelers. Its picturesque bay is a semicircle 9 miles long and 5 miles wide, protected by Cap Nuevo. There are three Spanish exclaves just off the shore of Alhucemas which are uninhabited, with the exception of Peñón de Alhucemas which was garrisoned until 1961. Across from Alhucemas lies Al-Hoceima, a port city founded by Spaniards in 1926 as Villa Sanjurjo. It mainly serves as a fishing port, but its beautiful beaches have also made it a tourist resort. There is something magical to be found here, and visitors are sure to leave with a memory that will last a lifetime!
