Nador is a vibrant coastal city located in the northeastern Rif region of Morocco. Its population stands at approximately 161,726 according to the 2014 census and it is the 19th largest city in Morocco. Known primarily for its fishing industry, Nador also serves as a hub for smuggling cheap Spanish and Chinese duty-free goods. Up to 250,000 people return to the city every year during the summer months of June to August. The city is extremely multi-cultural, with 98% of its population made up of Riffian-Berbers. Additionally, its lagoon attracts wildlife such as migratory birds and it has some great natural spots that locals often visit. With excellent transport links and many international trade opportunities, Nador is an exciting place to visit and enjoy.
