The Hassan II Mosque is a stunning and impressive structure located in Casablanca, Morocco. Designed by French architect Michel Pinseau under the guidance of King Hassan II, the mosque features an array of unique architectural elements including Moorish influences, horseshoe arches, various muqarnas embellishing the ceilings, lavish woodcarvings, decorative mosaics, marble floors and walls, titanium, bronze and granite finishes, all lending to the awe-inspiring ambience of the mosque. Standing with its minaret towering 210 metres above the sea, the magnificent building is the largest functioning mosque in Africa and is one of the most remarkable monuments ever built in Morocco.
