Waterfall

Röthbachfall is Germany’s highest waterfall, plunging an impressive 470 meters down a steep rock face. Reaching it requires a boat ride across the Königssee—there is no road or walking path around the lake. From the boat dock at Salet, it’s about a 1.5-hour hike through stunning alpine scenery, past the beautiful Obersee and the Fischunkelalm. The trail is well-marked and relatively easy, making the waterfall a rewarding destination for those willing to go a bit further.
