The Kirchleitnkapelle is one of the best viewpoints overlooking the town of Berchtesgaden and the surrounding alpine peaks. This small, picturesque chapel sits on a grassy hillside above the town and offers postcard-perfect views – especially at sunrise or sunset.

From the town center, it’s an easy 20-minute walk uphill via footpath. Once at the top, you’re rewarded with sweeping views of Berchtesgaden, the Watzmann massif, and the valley below. It’s a peaceful spot to take photos, enjoy the view, or simply pause for a quiet moment away from the busy town.
