Wimbachklamm is a short but stunning gorge hike near Ramsau, perfect for nature lovers and families. From the large parking area, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the entrance of the gorge. The trail through the gorge is around 1 km long and leads across wooden walkways and bridges alongside thundering waterfalls and steep rock walls — a true natural spectacle.

The gorge is open from May to October, daily from 7 am to 7 pm. Entrance fee is €2.50.

At the end of the gorge, the valley opens up with beautiful views of the massive Watzmann mountain. If you’d like to continue hiking, you can follow the path along the river for about an hour to reach the Wimbachschloss — a cozy mountain hut with delicious regional food and a lovely terrace. Perfect for a break before heading back.
